Shannon joined the team in February of 2008 from the Center for Advanced Dental Education. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Dallas in Psychology with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, a Master of Arts in Business Administration (Nonprofit Management) from Washington University. She completed her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) Certification in 2012. She is also an alum of Leadership St. Louis 2013-14 and Leadership Missouri 2018. She is a 2020 St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 awardee and a 2017 recipient of Missouri Athletic Club’s Women of Distinction Award. Shannon loves exploring St. Louis, taking trips with her son, Lachlan, and is also a professional actress and model and published author.

DR. KOURTENAY GREEN
Dr. Kourtenay Green joined the team in July 2016. Kourtenay has a Bachelor of Science from Jackson State University in Biology and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry. Prior to joining the team, she practiced dentistry at a nonprofit dental office for ten years. She also has experience as a dental assistant instructor and an administrative director for a school-based mobile dental program for children. She has realized that her passions lie in nonprofit organizations, healthcare education, and public health. Dr. Green is very excited about the rewards that can come from being a part of the HealthWorks! team.

ASHLEY HANSON
Ashley has been captaining the universe since leaping into the out of this world position in March of 2019. With a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Southeast Missouri State and a future M.A. in Museum Studies/Grad. Cert. in Nonprofit Management from Johns Hopkins, Ashley cannot appreciate enough the combination of her passions found at HealthWorks! Ashley believes strongly in informal education and the power of play for lifelong learning. Outside of HealthWorks! and school, Ashley finds herself dancing, spoiling her dog, watching way too many movies, and probably tripping over something that isn’t there.

BARB WNEK
Barb started working at HealthWorks! in July of 2018. She has taught health and physical education in the Ferguson-Florissant School District and also teaches for the Gifted Resource Council’s Summer Academies. She has a Masters of Education degree +30 hours in physical education, emphasizing exercise physiology, and health. She has written two books for physical educators and created Health Beats, a health education program. Barb was selected as one of the Dole Company’s Creative Teachers of the Year and as an Olympic torch bearer for her creative teaching ideas in health. She has run over 150 full marathons, including all fifty United States and 13 countries. Barb loves being creative to motivate children and adults to lead healthy and active lifestyles.

KEILYA KASPRZYK
Keilya joined the HealthWorks! team in September 2018. She is originally from Florida, where she graduated in 2016 from Stetson University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Keilya spent the last two years serving with an AmeriCorps organization called City Year, tutoring and mentoring high schoolers at underfunded schools in Little Rock and Memphis. Keilya moved to St. Louis in Fall 2018 and is currently pursuing her Master of Public health degree and specializing in Global Health and Epidemiology & Biostatistics at Washington University. She likes to spend her free time exploring St. Louis, watching Netflix, and playing board games.

KAYLA TUCKER
Kayla started working for HealthWorks! in May 2019. She has an Associate degree from St. Louis Community College Meramec. She is now in the process of earning her B.S. in Biological Sciences. With this she plans to either work for a lab or hospital. Kayla also plans to continue her education journey to receive a doctorate. Kayla’s interests also include singing, math, science and working with children.

STACEY MASON
Stacey joined the HealthWorks! team in January 2019. Stacey has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Spelman College and a Master of Public Health in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining the team, Stacey worked as a government contractor for a consulting firm and provided public health research assistance to two branches in the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Stacey has a passion for public health and bridging the gap in health disparities by helping people become the healthiest versions of themselves. Stacey believes that positive health messaging can increase positive development. In her free time, she enjoys Zumba, thrifting, reading, and spending quality time with loved ones. Stacey is very excited about participating in the mission of HealthWorks! and looks forward to all the awesome things HealthWorks! will do in the community.

JENNIFER LUNCEFORD
Jennifer started in September 2019. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Yale University. She is currently pursuing her Master’s of Social Work from the Brown School at Washington University, specifically focusing on Domestic Social and Economic Development. In her free time, she teaches dance classes and enjoys trying new recipes. She also loves singing “Baby Shark” to her daughter.

MAURA CUMMINGS
Maura began working for HealthWorks! In March 2020. She is from Milwaukee, WI and is currently a student at Saint Louis University working towards a bachelors of science in Biology and Bioethics and Health Studies. Before joining the team, Maura worked as a lifeguard in her home city of Milwaukee, WI and learned EMT style procedures to assess health emergencies. She is working toward a future career in medicine and loves that she is able to conduct health education through her position at HealthWorks! In her freetime, she likes to swim, sew and paint to relax.
